Who am I? If you look at the picture, I'm the female equivalent of the one in black... or rather, I was. Approaching 'a certain age' I decided to do something about this, starting in June 2007. This is the story so far.
I've been asked if I could give just a few more notes about who I am and the progress I've made along this wonderful weight loss journey.
So, here goes...
I am around 5 feet 4 inches in height (depending on whether you believe me, or the nurse at the GP surgery who says I'm shorter). In any case, that's not tall, not tiny, just sort of average height.
I'm now well past that 50 years old milepost, the age I was dreading when I started out on the road to a fitter, healthier me (er, at the ripe 'old age' of 59 I'm actually more rapidly approaching 60!).
I began my journey having been seriously obese for a long time, and having tried what seemed like a gazillion 'diets' of various types, all of which failed.
It has been a long road, and one I'm still travelling, but so, so worth it. You can read about the changes that three years of effort made to my life and see some 'before and after' pics too by reading this happy anniversary post from June 2010.
